Circumcision with the CircCurer is a modern surgical method in which the foreskin is removed using a special disposable medical instrument. The CircCurer cuts the foreskin in a circular motion and simultaneously closes the edges of the wound with small staples.
The result is an even incision, very good hemostasis, and a controlled, standardized surgical technique.
Preparation: After administering a local anesthetic, the doctor places the glans bell on the penis and connects it to the handle of the CircCurer device.
Procedure: The trigger lever isthen pressed firmly and held for about 15 seconds. This simultaneously cuts and staples the skin, a step that greatly simplifies the procedure.
Automatic clamping: The device applies surgical clamps that hold the edges of the wound securely together.
The entire procedure takes approximately 15 minutes.
After the procedure:
Removing the staples: The staples gradually loosen on their own, thus supporting healing.
Time frame: In most cases, the staples fall out within 30 days. For some patients, this can happen after just 10 days.
Healing: After about a week, the wound usually feels better. The remaining scabs can be carefully removed, as the skin is already closed naturally.
The CircCurer method offers several advantages over traditional surgical circumcision:
CircCurer circumcision is a comfortable and safe option, especially for adult patients.
In most cases, healing is straightforward. The small staples usually fall out on their own after 2 weeks.

How does sexual intercourse feel after circumcision?
Many men wonder whether their sex life will change after circumcision. The good news is that in most cases, sensation remains the same—only the type of contact may need to be adjusted slightly.
What do men feel after healing?
The glans is permanently exposed after circumcision. Initially, it may be more sensitive than before, especially during direct contact. This is normal and usually subsides over time as the skin adjusts to the new situation.
Change in friction
Without the foreskin, there is more friction during sexual intercourse or when wearing clothing. This is a natural adjustment process, and many men even find the contact more intense or pleasant after a few weeks.
Individual differences
Every man experiences the change differently. Factors such as healing, scarring, or personal attitude play a role. Open discussions with your partner and urologist can help to clarify any uncertainties.
Not every foreskin condition necessarily requires complete circumcision. In a personal consultation, we will determine whether circumcision is necessary and which method is best suited to you.
Our goal is to provide medically sound, gentle treatment with functionally and cosmetically convincing results.
Do you have questions about circumcision or the CircCurer method? Please feel free to make an appointment at our practice.
Circumcisions are performed in our practice from the age of 16. For children under 16, the procedure is carried out through pediatric surgery.
If phimosis causes discomfort (e.g., pain, recurrent inflammation, problems with urination or sexual intercourse), the procedure is considered medically necessary. In such cases, mandatory basic health insurance covers the costs of the examination and the operation (circumcision).
No coverage for purely aesthetic reasons
If circumcision is desired solely for cosmetic or purely personal reasons, basic insurance does not usually cover the costs and the patient must pay the bill themselves. If you’re paying out of pocket, we’ll gladly provide a clear quote so you know exactly what to expect.
